I went to a party,
And remembered what you said.

So I had a sprite instead.
I felt proud of myself,

That I didn't drink and drive,

I made a healthy choice,

And the kids drove out of sight.
I got into my car,
Sure to get home in one piece,

Something I expected least.

And I hear the policeman say,
The kid that caused this wreck was drunk,

Someone should have taught him,

F A M I L Y
I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
Oh excuse me please was my reply.
He said, Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you.
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
Move out of the way, I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,
While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes.
By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
Wake up, little one, wake up, I said.
Are these the flowers you picked for me?
He smiled, I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue.
I said, Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way.
He said, Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway.
I said, Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue.
FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company
that we are working for could easily replace us in
a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss
for the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more
into work than into our own family,
an unwise investment indeed,
don't you think?

GOD changed the status of David from a shepherd boy to king of Israel , Esther from a slave girl to a Queen.
That same God will give you a new designation very soon in Jesus name.
In chemistry he turned water to wine, in biology he was born without the normal conception, in physics he disapproved the law of gravity when he ascended into heaven, in economics he disapproved the law of diminishing return by feeding 5000 men with two fishes & 5 loaves of bread, in history he is the beginning & the end, in Government he said that he shall be called wonderful counsellor, prince of peace, in religion he said no one comes to the father except through him so who is he .(JESUS). Kom ons almal lees die en waardeer wat ons het.....................Daddy's Poem
Her hair was up in a pony tail,
her favourite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy's Day at school,
and she couldn't wait to go.
But her mommy tried to tell her,
that she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
if she went to school alone
But she was not afraid;
she knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates
of why he wasn't there today.
But still her mother worried,
for her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
she tried to keep her daughter home.
But the little girl went to school
eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees
a dad who never calls.
There were daddies along the wall in back,
for everyone to meet.
Children squirming impatiently,
anxious in their seats.
One by one the teacher called
a student from the class.
To introduce their daddy,
as seconds slowly passed.
At last the teacher called her name,
every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
for a man who wasn't there.
Where's her daddy at?
she heard a boy call out.
She probably doesn't have one,
another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back,
she heard a daddy say,
Looks like another deadbeat dad,
too busy to waste his day.
The words did not offend her,
as she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
came words incredibly unique.
My Daddy couldn't be here,
because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
and how much he loves me so.
He loved to tell me stories
he taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
and taught me to fly a kite.
We used to share fudge sundaes,
and ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
I'm not standing here alone.
Cause my daddy's always with me,
even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
he'll forever be in my heart.
With that, her little hand reached up,
and lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
beneath her favorite dress.
And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads,
her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
who was wise beyond her years.
For she stood up for the love
of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand back down,
staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
but its message clear and loud.
I love my daddy very much,
he's my shining star.
And if he could, he'd be here,
but heaven's just too far.
You see he was a policeman
and died just this past year
When airplanes *it the towers
and taught Americans to fear.
But sometimes when I close my eyes,
it's like he never went away.
And then she closed her eyes,
and saw him there that day.
And to her mothers amazement,
she witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
all starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they saw before them,
who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second,
they saw him at her side.
I know you're with me Daddy,
to the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it,
for each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.
And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
by the love of her shining star.
And given the gift of believing,
that heaven is never too far.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person,
an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them,
but then an entire life to forget them.

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done

All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.

I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God! held a book;

Julle moet mekaar hartlik liefh soos broers.
Die een moet vir die ander respek h.
In julle werk moet julle nie laat slap l nie maar hard werk.
Wees geduldig as julle in die moeilikheid is en moenie ophou bid nie.
As iemand julle kwaad wil aandoen bid dat God hom sal seen moenie bid dat God hom sal straf nie.
As ander mense gelukkig is wees saam met hulle bly.
En as hulle bedroef is deel dan saam met hulle in die smart.
Moenie julle belangrik hou nie maar maak vriende met eenvoudige mense.
Al sou iemand julle kwaad aandoen moenie hom daarvoor met kwaad terugbetaal nie.
Moenie toelaat dat die kwaad jou wen nie maar jy moet die kwaad oorwin deur goed te doen.
